ANVL Mobile App - Getting Started
The ANVL mobile app brings your business to your pocket. Download, login, and access jobs, photos, messages, and invoices anywhere.
Downloading the App
The ANVL app is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Search for "ANVL" and tap download. The app is free. It requires iOS 14+ or Android 10+ and about 50MB of storage.
First Login
Open the app and tap "Log In." Enter your ANVL email and password—the same credentials you use on the website. If you've enabled two-factor authentication (2FA), enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app or SMS. You're now logged into the mobile app.
Initial Setup
The app guides you through initial setup: enable notifications (to get real-time alerts), allow camera/photo access (to take job photos), and allow location access (optional, for finding jobs near you). You can adjust these permissions later in your phone's settings.
Dashboard and Navigation
The app dashboard shows your key metrics: active jobs, pending proposals, unpaid invoices, and new messages. Bottom navigation shows: Jobs, Clients, Messages, Invoices, and Settings. Tap any section to explore. The layout is optimized for one-handed use on a phone.
Jobs on Mobile
View all your jobs organized by status: New Leads, Proposals Sent, In Progress, Completed. Tap a job to see details, photos, timeline, and notes. Update job status, add photos, and message clients directly from the job view. Everything from the desktop version is available on mobile.
Messages and Communication
The Messages tab shows all your conversations with clients and team members. You'll get notifications for new messages. Reply quickly—fast response times improve your reputation. Conversations stay organized by contact.
Photography Workflow
The mobile app is optimized for photos. Open a job, tap "Add Photos," and take or upload photos. Photos are timestamped and geotagged (if you allow location access). This creates a documented record of work progress.
Notifications
Enable notifications to stay updated: new messages, job status changes, invoice reminders, and payment receipts. You can customize which notifications you get in Settings > Notifications. Critical alerts (payment issues, new leads) always notify you.
Offline Functionality
The app works offline. Photos, messages, and job updates are queued and sync when you reconnect to the internet. This is crucial for job sites without reliable connectivity. The app will notify you when changes sync.
Payment Processing on Mobile
You can view invoices and payment status on mobile. Tap an invoice to see details. For homeowners, tap "Pay" to make a payment through the secure payment interface. For contractors, payments received show immediately.
Push Notifications
The app sends push notifications for important events: new message from a client, job status change, payment received, invoice reminder. These keep you informed without constantly checking the app. Customize frequency and types in Settings.
App Settings
Settings > App Preferences lets you customize the experience: dark mode, font size, notification frequency, and permissions. Dark mode is easier on eyes and saves battery on newer phones.
Switching Between Devices
Log in to the app on multiple devices—phone and tablet work great. Login on a new device using your email and password. 2FA applies—you'll need your authenticator code. All data syncs across devices in real-time.
Updating the App
Update the app regularly for bug fixes and new features. App stores notify you when updates are available. Updated apps are faster, more secure, and have new features. Update as soon as available.
Troubleshooting App Issues
If the app crashes or behaves oddly: try force-closing and reopening, clear app cache (Settings > Apps > ANVL > Clear Cache), or reinstall. If problems persist, contact [email protected] with your device type and iOS/Android version.
