Acceptable Use Policy
This policy applies to all users of the ANVL platform.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, share, or create content that: is fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive; constitutes spam or unsolicited advertising; contains malware, viruses, or harmful code; infringes on intellectual property rights; includes discriminatory, hateful, or harassing material; contains sexually explicit material; depicts or promotes violence; or violates any applicable law or regulation. Contractor portfolios must only contain photos of work you actually performed or supervised.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: harass, threaten, or intimidate other users; create fake accounts, fake reviews, or artificially inflate ratings; scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the platform without permission; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or platform systems; circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls; use the platform for money laundering or financing of illegal activities; impersonate another person or entity; or interfere with the proper functioning of the platform.
3. Contractor-Specific Rules
Contractors must: hold valid licenses and insurance where required by law; represent their qualifications, experience, and portfolio truthfully; provide honest and transparent estimates; not engage in bid rigging, price fixing, or collusive practices; not subcontract work without disclosing it to the homeowner; complete work according to applicable building codes and safety standards; and maintain professional conduct in all platform communications.
4. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in: warning notification; temporary suspension of account features; permanent account termination; removal of content; reporting to law enforcement where appropriate; and legal action for damages caused by violations.
We investigate reports of violations and take action at our sole discretion. Severity and repeated offenses are considered when determining consequences. Terminated accounts may not create new accounts without written permission.
5. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or conduct that violates this policy, report it through the platform’s reporting tools or by emailing [email protected]. Include a description of the violation, relevant URLs or screenshots, and the username of the offending party. We review all reports within 48 business hours.
