1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an ANVL account we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, trade category, and service area. Contractors may also provide licensing and insurance details.

Project Data. Photos (including EXIF metadata such as GPS coordinates and timestamps), job descriptions, estimates, proposals, checklists, notes, annotations, scanned documents, and before/after comparisons you upload or create within the platform.

Payment Information. Billing details are collected and processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We retain transaction records including amounts, dates, and invoice references.

Usage Data. Device type, operating system, IP address, browser type, pages visited, features used, session duration, and crash reports collected automatically through analytics services.

Communications. Messages exchanged through the platform between contractors and homeowners, support requests, and feedback you provide.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to: provide and improve the ANVL platform and services; process payments and send invoices; generate AI-powered mockups and estimates via third-party AI services (FAL.AI); match homeowners with qualified contractors through our marketplace; send transactional emails and service notifications; enforce our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy; detect fraud and prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following categories of service providers under contractual data-protection obligations:

Payment Processing. Stripe, Inc. processes all payment transactions. Their privacy policy governs data they collect.

AI Image Processing. FAL.AI receives project photos solely for generating AI mockups and estimates. Images are processed and not retained beyond the processing session.

Infrastructure. Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), and Expo (mobile app distribution) host and deliver our services.

Legal Compliance. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental request, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ANVL, our users, or the public.

4. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Project data (photos, estimates, proposals) is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after account closure to allow for data export. Payment records are retained for seven years to comply with tax and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. Analytics cookies help us understand how the platform is used. You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; request a portable copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format; object to or restrict certain processing activities; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and automated vulnerability scanning. Despite these measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

ANVL is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of ANVL after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
